Birthday Wishes with Avery Elle

Good Morning!  Hello, it's Stacy here from Craftaholicmomma up on the SFL blog today with an adorable birthday card.  I'm trying to build up my stash of birthday cards since right now we are in between holidays.

I was sent this absolutely too cute stamp set as part of my Design Team package.  It is called Party Pals by Avery Elle.  OMG!  It made me squeell with delight when I pulled it out of the package.  My niece loves kitties so I'll save it for her birthday.

I decided to try my hand at making a scene with the two kitties and the banner.  I colored them up with my Copic markers.  I've been practicing coloring and blending, and although I feel a tad bit more confident with my coloring, I know I still have much more to learn.  I've never taken a coloring class before.  I've thought about it, but never jumped right in.  Is there a class out there that you think I should try?  If so, leave me a comment below and I'll go check it out.

One thing I use my alcohol markers for is to tint embellishments like clear bling and such.  And that is what I did on this card.  I wanted some bling to match my peachy colored cardstock, that I also colored with my markers.  So, I took the same omatching marker and colored my Pink n Main Glossy Silver Dots to make them match the cardstock.  Brilliant!!  If you haven't tried this, you really must.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you like my card,

Stacy
