Monster Party

Hello there! Today I have a super FUN monster birthday card.

I used the Brutus Monroe Monster Party Stamp Set and colored the images with my Copic Markers on Neenah 80# Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I then used my Brother Scan N Cut electronic cutting machine to scan my colored images and cut them out with a thin border. I then took a piece of Neenah 110# Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and die cut it out with my MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Dienamics with the largest die in the set. The MFT Stitched Basic Edges Dienamics made the bottom curved edge just that much more interesting of an element on the card. I used adhesive foam to pop up a couple of the images for dimension. Gluing on some sequins with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive finished the card.  The Rainbow Bright paper is from Sunny Studio.

You're Owlsome, Teacher!

Hello There! Today I have a super cute Thank You Teacher card. With the kiddos just returning to school I wanted to give my daughter’s Special Education teacher a thank you card for to show our appreciation for everything she does for our Emily.

I used the Doodlebug Flea Market 6x6 paper pad. I stamp out the owl and tree branch from the Lawn Fawn So Owlsome stamp set that was just released recently. I stamped three branches on brown pattern paper from the pad, two owls in a teal polka paper and two owls on yellow wheat tone on tone pattern paper. I fussy cut and paper pieced the two owls, coloring their beaks in with an orange Copic marker. I used my black Memento marker to go along all of the edges to cover up my not-so-perfect fussy cutting.

I die cut a stitched circle out of pattern paper as well as a lacey circle. I layered these two circles on top of each other. Taking the three branches I arranged them to look like one tree, covering the seams with some leaves that I also fussy cut from a sheet of pattern paper. To finish off the card I layered one of the cut apart sentiments from the paper pad, notching the end into a fish tail. I attached a pumpkin paper clip, from Doodlebug, to the sentiment and now my card is done. I love how cute it turned out! Even though I fussy cut the images, they are so small that it really doesn’t take much time. Do you like to fussy cut?

Lots of Puppy and Kitty Cards

Hello, Today I am sharing a few more cards from the Scrapping for Less August Flavor of the Month Card Kit.  This month’s theme is all about the pets in our lives, specifically puppies and kitties.
I challenge myself each month to make as many cards as I can from the kit.  So far I’ve only knocked out Collections One and Three from the kit.  I hope to finish up Collections Two and Four later this week.  Stay tuned for those cards.

Room Decor Sign

Hello!  Happy Monday!
I was up first for the long awaited Sneak Peek week for the new August Flavor of the Month Card Kit from Scrapping for Less.  I think (nope, I know!) that you are going to go tail wagging wild for this new kit.
Who doesn’t love a cute, fluffy little kitty?  Or perhaps a happy. bumbling puppy?
Well, if you can’t get enough of those fat, chubby, smelly little puppy bellies like me, then this kit is right up your alley (Alley Cat)!

Today instead of a card I made a cute little 6x6 inch home décor sign to hang up in my 10 year old daughter’s room.  She loves anything puppies or kitties.

A dear friend of mine recently gave me these 6x6 plastic hanging frames that she had in her stash.  I’m pretty sure they’re discontinued, but you might be able to find something on eBay or in some of the Facebook selling groups.  Or better yet just use what you have with chipboard and cardstock and make your own.

I knew I wanted to use this particular collection for my sign, and the papers went perfectly with the exclusive Scrapping for Less stamp set. I used a card sketch from Operation Write Home that I knew I could easily convert to a 6x6 format. I just love their sketches, as they have all the measurements already done for you. Adding a bright yellow ribbon hanger was all it need to call it done.

Enjoy the Little Things

Hello, today I have a card I made from a past Scrapping for Less Flavor of the Month Card Kit.
The “Our Family” collection was part of the “Wild & Free” card kit from August 2017.  There are adorable images in this kit that were made exclusive for Scrapping for Less by one of our favorite companies, Pink & Main.  I stamped my owl on the pattern paper and also on white cardstock.  I fussy cut out the owl’s eyes and glued them on top of the owl that was stamped on the pattern paper.  I then adhered the owl to the burlap tag that was also included in the collection.  I thinly cut out some sentiments that were part of another piece of pattern paper, which I popped up on foam tape.  The paper flowers from the same collection added just enough sweetness to bring the whole design together.  The circle was die cut from the Gina K Designs Stitched Circle Die set.

This adorable collection as well as the matching exclusive stamp set is available in the Scrapping for Less store under the Past Kits and Collections tab under the Flavor of the Month tab.
Thanks so much visiting,
