***GIVEAWAY*** April Flavor of the Month Card Kit

Good afternoon!
I'm so excited today!
I have a giveaway for you all!

I am on the design team for Scrapping For Less and with that we do a monthly Blog Hop introducing the new
Flavor of the Month Card Kit.
Check out the FOTM card kit details and purchase/subscription details, HERE.

The owner, Teresa, has kindly given me permission to do a giveaway for the remaining goodies leftover in my card kit. She supplies these jam packed kits to all of her design teams members. You're jealous, right?  Lol!
Well, all you need to do to win all of these goodies is to be a subscriber of my blog and
leave a comment below this post and I will draw a name on
Monday, May 1, 2017 and send it to you.

I made 16 cards from the 4 collections. The kits that we get are the highest level, the Banana Split. I did keep 2 stamps sets, the die and a mini ink cube from the kit for myself. But believe me there is still tons of goodies left, including lots of pattern paper, cardstock, embellishments, bling,
sequins and even stamp sets.

Good luck and be sure to leave a comment below.

Thanks for visiting,
Stacy

MFT Penguins in Paradise

So I will be the first to admit, I am not a good colorer. I want to be, I really do. But I just don't seem to have the natural talent. I have decided to just get over my anxiety and jump in head first. I own hundreds of Copic markers, Prisma color pencils, Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and Distress Markers, but I just don't have any confidence to use them.

I made myself get out my Copics
and color these little penguins.
I did my best at shading and using several markers
in the same color family and for a beginner
I am actually quite proud of myself.
To my eye I don't think they're half bad.

Maybe next I'll practice at ink blending.

Now to use all these little guys in some cards:

Twist Pop Easter Card

I recently had the opportunity to teach a friend who is new to card making this technique. She went ga ha for it!  Here is the card I made while I taught her the technique.

I used directions from MayMay Made it. To check out her video, click here.  I also typed up directions and diagrams based on her tutorial. You'll find that below.

Doodlebug Easter Express

I made this card with the Doodlebug Easter Express 6x6 paper pad and icon sticker sheet.   I used the Everyday PopUp dies from Lawn Fawn. I think it turned out so sweet. I can't wait to give it to a loved one this weekend.

I needed to make a birthday card for my sister-in-law. She loves cats so this Cool Cat stamp and die set from MFT was perfect!

I used a 3D layered card cut file from Lori Whitlock that I purchased on the Silhouette Store. It is file #177616.

Here's a process video:
