I was assigned the Mack Daddy this month, the ever awesome Banana Split Level.  I think this level is by far the best value.  I know you'll agree too, once you see all the great projects the design team has created with this month's Flavor of the Month Kit.  So far this month has been my favorite theme and I managed to make 41 cards.  I love the colors of fall and this month is jammed packed with adorable fall themed papers and stamps.  If you want one of these, the only way to guarantee one is to sign up for the Subscription option.  That way you know there is a kit with your name on it.  These kits are very quickly becoming the hottest thing and have sold out in the past.
So click on the link above and get yours!

Give Thanks Card with Concord & 9th

Today I am sharing a card I made featuring the Give Thanks stamp set from Concord & 9th.  I also recorded a process video showing it being made, which you’ll find below.   This was the first time I have ever used my new Distress Oxide inks. Boy was everyone right!  They blend flawlessly on Bristol Smooth cardstock. I’m definitely going to be using these more often. I didn’t really use the regular Distress inks much only because I wasn’t very good at getting a good blend.
I also used my brand new Brother Scan n Cut machine. I can’t believe I was on the fence for buying it. I’m certainly kicking myself now. It is the coolest and easiest for cutting out stamped images. No more fussy cutting for this chick. (I despised fussy cutting!)
Enjoy the video.

It's Party Time! with Kaisercraft

Every middle of July my family and mother/father in law take our yearly vacation “Up North” to the cabin on the lake. We live in Southeast Minnesota so for us “Up North” is about an hour south of the Canadian border, about a 7 hour drive north across the state of Minnesota.  We have lakes down around where we live, but nothing like what there is “Up North”.    My husband and FIL fish morning and night in search of that “monster fish”. While the women stay back at the cabin relaxing and enjoying the summer.

I always pack a small kit of crafting supplies to keep my brain busy. I go stir crazy if I can’t create every so often. This time I chose a couple of paper pads and their matching ephemera packs. For this blog post I’m going to share the 17 cards I made with only half of the paper pad from the Kaisercraft Party Time collection.  They are simple but yet I think they pack a ton of cuteness.   I hope you like them!

Need MORE Cowbell! with Neat & Tangled

Do you remember the Saturday Night Live skit with Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken where Will is in a band playing the cowbell and Christopher Walken tells him “I need MORE cowbell”?  Omg!  That skit was just hilarious!  I couldn’t stop myself from squeeling with joy when Neat & Tangled came out with this ultra cute stamp set, Cowbell. It ALWAYS makes me think of that skit.

Here is my card made with that stamp set. I used some paper from my scraps and stamped the cowbell on gold pearlescent paper to resemble the scruffy look of an old cowbell. The cowbell is popped up on an action wobble.

Neat & Tangled is the focus company for the Month of September over at Scrapping For Less. The Design Team has made some gorgeous projects. I hope you check out each day to see what they've made.

Warm Wishes with Neat & Tangled

Today was a typical end of summer day here in Minnesota. Cooler crisp temperature with a bit of a breeze. Some of the leaves are already turning into those beautiful fall colors of orange, yellow, brown and dark green.  With many of them already starting to fall with the gentle breeze covering the grass that will be blanketed with snow in no time. I love living in a state where there are distinct season changes.

Neat & Tangled is our focus company for the Month of September. You should definitely check out Teresa’s blog post where she interviews Danielle, the owner of Neat & Tangled.  If you’d like to purchase Neat & Tangled and many other products you can pop on over to the Scrapping For Less store.

Part 2: 44 cards from Scrapping For Less' August Flavor of the Month Card Kit

Hello, how are you doing today?  Today I am showcasing the remaining cards I made from the August Flavor of the Month Card Kit from Scrapping For Less.

As you know it has been my personal goal and my promise to Teresa to use the Flavor of the Month Card Kits to their fullest potential, trying to make as many quality cards I can from it. Each month I have been able to make more and more. This month I blew that out of the water. Last month I made 32 cards, this month I made 44 cards. During the blog hop I announced the number was 43, but I found I had counted wrong. Lol.

These card kits are by far the best kits on the market right now in my opinion. You get to sample four different paper collections. You get a full size stamp set or several small stamp sets. You also get a generous amount of different types of embellishments such as sequins, buttons, bling, enamel dots, epoxy stickers, cardstock stickers, ribbon, twine, embossing folders, dies, inks, and so much more. Visit the SFL store here for kit details and ordering.

Here are my cards from Collections Three and Four.

Distress Oxide Ink Backgrounds

Hello everyone!  How are you all doing this beautiful fall day?  I just love the fall season. It is my most favorite season of the year because of all the beautiful colors. Here in Minnesota there is no shortage of beautiful fall colors. But with the arrival of fall we sadly have to say goodbye to summer. So I wanted to make one last summer themed card while I was still in my summer mojo mood.  Soon enough I will be switching gears and I will start working on Christmas cards. But until then I hope you enjoy this short process video of the card I made featuring the adorable summer stamp set from Neat & Tangled called Beach Days.

In this video I show how you can use Ranger Distress Oxide inks to create a sweet summer beach background.
