Onto the lineup:
Stacy-Craftaholicmomma (You are here!)

This month I used the Banana Split level kit. A couple of the collections were a little challenging for me only because they weren’t my usual “cutesy” style. But that’s good!  As an artist it is good to reach outside of your comfort zone and make beautiful things from products and designs that are not your usual norm. But I think I was able to rise to the challenge.

This month I took it a little easy and only made 30+ cards from the kit. With the Hop being during the holiday week I just did not have the time to really focus on squeezing 40 or more cards from it. What I did was I made the 4 sketches from all 4 collections plus 4 more cards from each collection of my own style or design. I did make at least 8 total cards from each of the 4 collections. I brought in only a couple more sheets of colored cardstock like black, coral pink and brown. Plus I used gold and silver mirror cardstock for my word die sentiments.

I have an unboxing video that you can watch here:

Christmas Cards using Scraps

Knowing what to do with all the scraps you accumulate is one of my biggest problems. Pattern paper scraps are too valuable to just throw away, in my opinion.

I keep my 6x6 paper pads in zipper poly bags. So when I open a paper pad and have leftover scraps I just tuck those scraps in the back of the baggie with the coordinating paper pad. Even then I end up with a lot of scraps. So this year for my Christmas cards I made the decision to use up what I have.   Normally I buy at least a couple of pads of each of the new collections that come out each year. This year I didn’t do that. I only purchased two collections, the Bella Blvd “Santa Stops Here” collection and the Doodlebug “Milk ‘n Cookies” collection (Doodlebug, of course).

For the past week I have been pulling out of my stash these partial paper pads with their scraps. I’ve been making Christmas cards from only these.  For the most part I’ve only had a handful of full sheets to use, otherwise it’s all been scraps no bigger than 2” x 6”.

Today I used the Echo Park “The Story of Christmas” collection which I paired up with the ephemera pack from Pebbles called “Holly Jolly”. I had 3 full sheets that were just pattern and 2 full sheets that were cut apart border strips, plus I had a lot of smaller strips to use. I made 15 cards from what I had to work with. When I was done I had nothing bigger than a postage stamp left, which I then let myself throw away.

I think they turned out great. I hope you like them.

Winter Girl with her Pup Card | Bugaboo Digital Stamps

Today I have a card I made for my design team post at The Scrapbook Blessings Club. It makes me very happy that Bugaboo Digital Stamps is the sponsor for 2017.   I just love their digital stamps.

Today I am using their digi stamp called Bugwinterkidpup02   I colored her up with my Spectrum Noir markers. I added dimension to her hat and the pup’s hat with my Marvy Snow Marker and my heat gun.  The paper pad was from last year’s collection from Echo Park called The Story of Christmas. I used stitched rectangle dies from MFT and snowflake dies from Lawn Fawn.

I think she turned out perfect. I’m very happy with how this card turned out.

I made my interactive light up card with Chibitronics and the Pawlidays Stamp set from MFT.   If you’ve never tried Chibitronics I have a video here showing the technique how I made a different light up card.

I also used a Marvy Snow Marker and my heat gun to add even more dimension to the pup’s Santa hat.

45 cards from the Scrapping For Less “Merry & Bright” October Flavor of the Month Card Kit

Hello everyone. Today I am showcasing all the cards I made from October’s Flavor of the Month Card Kit from Scrapping For Less.
This month the theme was “Merry & Bright”.
It is a beautiful kit!

Every month I challenge myself to use the kit to its full potential and make as many cards as I can from it. This month was no exception and definitely my personal best in quantity. I made 45 cards!  Holy buckets!  That’s a lot of cards!  There is no argument, this kit is beyond worth it.

I literally had nothing left aside from some teeny tiny scraps and a couple of embellishments.
I used the Banana Split level.

I used a few other items/tools from my stash

I made a super short slide show video (3 minutes) showing the cards, that you can watch here:

Here are the photos of all 45 cards. I hope you can find inspiration.
