Paper Pad Fun

Hello!  It's Stacy from Craftaholicmomma. I am a SAHM who loves paper crafting.  I've been a crafter for as long as I can remember.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the pretty papers that are out there.

I want to share with you why I love Pattern Paper Pads so much!  They are just so beautiful! I love to make cards and other paper crafting projects and let the pretty patterns shine bright.  I especially love working with 6x6 sized pads.  I love that the patterns are scaled down for use on cards as compared to the large patterns on 12x12 papers.

When I saw Doodlebug Design's Bar-B-Cute collection I about passed out from joy.  It is so darn cute!  The colors are so bright and happy.  The images are relevant to everyday life, especially in mine.  My husband loves to grill so it'll be perfect for masculine cards.

To make 4 different types of project (8 total items) I pulled out 4 sheets of papers.  That's it.  You can imagine then the amount of cards or projects you can get out of a single 6x6 paper pad.

Recently I've really gotten into using card sketches.  There are so many out there!  All you have to do is Google for them or look on Pinterest.  My favorites to use are from Operation Write Home card sketches because they include the measurements so there's not guess work.  Other great companies that do card sketches are Mojo Monday and My Favorite Things.   For my card I used Mojo Monday Sketch #539.

With the left over larger pieces of papers I made two gift card/money holders.  I used a pattern that I got from Chic n Scratch on YouTube.  The bulldog clips I purchased on Amazon.  You could definitely use a mini clothespin or a cute paper clip as well to hold the pocket together.

Next I had a 2x6 strip left that was perfect for a bookmark.  A 1 3/4' circle punch/die and a 2" scallop circle punch/die was the perfect embellishment.

Lastly with all of the small scraps I made a set of 4 gift tags.  The tags measure 2x4.  I used a retired Stampin Up Angled Tag Topper punch however it would be so easy to just trim off the corners and use a hole punch.

Some additional items I used to embellish my projects.  Hole reinforcers for the bookmark and gift tags and if you purchase the white paper ones you can customize the color with any of your alcohol markers.  Easy Peasy!

This is all that I had left over for scraps and I plan to just hang onto them and put back in with the paper pad to use on another project in the future.

So, there you have it.  All 8 items I made with just 4 super cute pieces of pattern paper and a few coordinating stickers.  That's all you need to make beautiful projects.  Pretty Paper!

Thanks for allowing me to share my passion with you for pretty pattern paper pads.  I hope I gave you some inspiration to pull out those paper pads and start making beautiful projects with them.

Hugs,
Stacy
