New Idea for Emily's Seizure Bracelets

I saw this post on Pinterest, and I totally told myself, "I'm doing that!".  We still have a couple hundred bracelets leftover from her benefit.  So, I think I will make up a bunch of these up for family and friends.  I think it will be a cute stocking stuffer gift from Emily.

This is a picture of the few I did.  The one with the purple key ring and purple bling is for Auntie Robin, whose middle name should have been Purple, she loves it so much.  I am going to keep the pink one, daddy can have the one with the brad that looks like a screw head, and the rest will go to grandma's and grandpa's or whoever.  Looks like I am going to have to dig out all of those brads that I have and put them to good use again, (kinda got away from using brads and eyelets in my cards)

Christmas Card Swap on Rashida's YT channel

Hello, I wanted to share my cards that I made for my 3rd Card Swap.  This one was over at Rashida's YT channel:  mmdo112800.  The swap was to make 8 cards of the same design.  I ended up making two sets (I ran out of paper) but kept everything else the same.  I am having so much fun doing these swaps.  They take alot of time, but it is so worth it.  I love seeing what I get back in return.  There are definately some super talent card makers out there.

I am a stay at home mom, caring for my 4 year disable daughter, and so it feels like a REALLY BIG DEAL when I get a package of "pretties" in the mail.  It's my excitement!  Yeah, I need to get a life. LOL!  Here's the video I made explaining the cards I sent.

Fall Card Swap part 2

This is a video I did of the box of goodies, and the three cards I received from my other card swap partner.  Letty is an awesome lady, she spoiled me rotten.  Thanks, Letty!

Fall Card Swap

I entered into my second all time card swap recently.  It was a fall themed card swap through Carol on YouTube.  Her youtube channel is OneHappyCraftyChick.  We were to make three cards, doing anything we want.  And instead of sending all of our cards to her, we were given the name and address of our "partner" and we just sent our three cards directly to our partner.

My partner that was receiving the cards I made was Jessica.  Her youtube channel is kyleighsmom012005.

And of course, I added a little goodie bag for her.

Halloween Door Decoration

Hello, this is a Halloween Door Decoration I made this year.  I used coasters that I had purchased for The Dollar Tree.  I layered Halloween purple and green striped paper and purple cardstock and adhered to the coasters.  I then printed out some pre-colored digi stamps that I had purchased several years ago from Shweet Potato Designs.  I don't think they are in business anymore, their latest blog entry was October 26, 2009 announcing they were closing.

I hot glued each coaster to the ribbon with hot glue.  The orange and black polka dot ribbon was from Hobby Lobby.

Decorated Tins

I decorated these Hobby Lobby tins for two little girls, Karissa and Lexy. Their Grandma Cindy asked me to do one earlier in the fall for her oldest Granddaughter, Jayla.  She loved it so much, it was pretty much a given I was going to have to do two more for the other two granddaughters.
 I hope they like them.

My Cards for Halloween Card Swap

I decided to participate in my first card swap.  I found a group on You Tube that was doing a Halloween Card Swap.  I am so excited!  I have always wanted to do one, but wasn't sure where or how to go about it.

We have to make 6 cards (5 to swap and one for the host to keep) and they need to be minimum A2 size and include at least three embellishments.  They need to have enough "effort" in them for the recipient to enjoy.  I think (hope) that I met all these requirements.

The first three cards feature digi stamps that I purchased from Pink Cat Studio, click here.

Here are six baggies with some "Candy" Goodies that will be a *suprise* for the recipients of my cards.  In these baggies I put a punched spider web border (Martha Stewart), a strip of black/silver rhinestone mesh ribbon (Hobby Lobby), a piece of green with white stitch ribbon (Hobby Lobby), a hand stamped greeting sentiment, a 3D sticker embellishment, and two plastic bat and spider buttons (not sure where I got these, Joann's maybe?)

Paper Smooches Squirrel

This cute little guy is a free digi stamp from my favorite stamp company, Paper Smooches.  He is just too adorable for words.  I used some left over patterned paper from my stash.  I used a scallop oval Sizzix die to cut him out and colored him with my copics.

LIfe is a Carnival

Who doesn't love the fair or a carnival?  I especially LOVE cotton candy.  There is just something about it that I can not leave without bringing home a bag or two.

This stamp set from The Crafts Meow is just adorable.  There are alot of great images and sentiments with this set.  The patterned paper is from Stampin D Amour, click here.

I haven't decided yet if I want to color in the images, or just leave them black and white.  I'm kind of leaning toward leaving them.  There's something pleasing to me about the simpleness of just the red, navy blue, black and white.  What do you think?

Jumbled Happy Birthday, Inspired by Pinterest

If you can tell by most of my cards, I tend to be a more clean, geometric design type of card maker.  I am definately not a collage and roses type.

Who doesn't love Pinterest?  I try not to copy a card exactly, but there are some cards that I love so much that I do try to come close to the original design, of course linking back to the original maker.

I liked this image so much, that I decided to pull out my Printmaster program and try to make one of my own.  I used a similar, but different font, and changed up the sizes on some of the letters.  I then put it on some fun, bright paper.  Someone should make this basic image into a stamp.....

Ready to Pop?

The Alley Way Stamps makes an adorable set that has some pregnancy images on it.  I have alot of sets that focus on baby images, but this is the only one I have that has "before baby" images.

The set is called, Reel Time, CLICK HERE to see the set over at The Alley Way Stamps.

Fishing Tales

One thing I realized at my last craft show was that I didn't have to many masculine cards.  So, I have been trying to come up with more of these types of cards.  They tend to be out of the norm for me.  I have a lot of ideas for girly cards, but when it comes to working with blues, browns, and dark greens, colors that we typically think of as "manly" I have a harder time with being inspired.

This image I have had saved on my computer *years and years* ago.  I don't even know the original origin of it.  I will try to find it, and post it if I can.

The paper is from the Great Outdoors paper pack from The Paper Studio (I bought it at Hobby Lobby).  I inked around the edges with creamy brown chalk ink and put three small brown buttons along the bottom.

I found the link for the stamp set, it's from Stamps by Judith.  click here

Inspired by Pinterest

I just love the simpleness of this card layout.  The colors are pretty and vibrant.  The sentiment could be used in so many ways.  To lift someone up from a bad day, to tell someone you love them, to even wish them a Happy Birthday.  And then to pair them with a Paper Smooches stamp, makes them even better.  ( I love Paper Smooches!)

More Essential Messages

Here are a few more cards that I made using up scraps and my new Hero Arts Essential Messages stamp set.  I just love this set.  I love the font.  I love the versatility of it.  I just LOVE IT!

These two cards were inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.

More Scraps

Good Morning!  Over the weekend I had a burst of inspiration, thanks to Pinterest.  I love that site!  So, I got busy making some cards using up some scraps.  You will probably recognize some of the papers, but it is my goal this year to use up more scraps before I dig into a brand new piece of paper.  Plus there are just some cards like birthday, thank you, and thinking of you cards that you can never have enough of.

The stamp set is a new set (to me), and I just love the quotes on it.  It is from Hero Arts, #CL371 Essential Messages.

Paper Smooches Veggie Card

Hello Everyone.  I always smile when I pull out my Paper Smooches stamps.  They are my favorite.  Today I have a card from their Vegtastic stamp set.  I originally had stamped up and colored several of these little veggies with plans to make a cute little wreath out of them.  I will post a picture of the wreath soon.  So, I wanted to use up some of the "leftovers".

The veggies are colored with copics and popped up on adhesive foam squares.  The white panel is embossed with the swiss dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug.  I used my Signo Broad white gel pen to do a few white doodle dots.
